How do you know its God’s voice or if you’re making it up from your own mind in order to hear what you want to hear?
Does the voice you hear line up with the Word of God? Is it edifying for you personally and/or to the body of Christ? Is it a loving word of exhortation? Is it a word of comfort? (I Cor. 14:3) Is it a word beyond what you would normally be expected to think or express? Is it a word that you are willing to submit to someone else in the body of Christ for their input?
