The Moment of Truth
So what are some additional ways we can maintain "moments of truth" ? Does it really matter? To what degree should the truth we know impact the life we live? These are a few questions I am asking myself lately. If you were in the service on March 30th and heard the message what thoughts did you have? In a world where truth has been diminished to personal preference and politically correct tolerance of any view imaginable do we have a responsibility to take an initiative to approach the truth with renewd vigor and seriousness? What do you think?

Your message was right-on for me! Actually, God brought to my remembrance the following: IF you continue in My word, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. I will hide Your word in my heart so that I won't sin against You. We need to devour the word of God...hide it in our heart/mind, so that the Holy Spirit has something to work with....something to bring to our remembrance. The Holy Spirit is the One who wrote the Bible through men of God whom He inspired....the Holy Spirit is our Teacher....He will lead us into the truth....because He will take from what is our Lord's and make it known to us. We need to remember that Jesus IS the truth....the Holy Spirit will only give us the truth. There is nothing worth knowing except the truth....anything else is just a delusion....not worth having or holding onto, no matter how attractive it may seem. We must put the word of God into our minds, but not lean on our own understanding, or the understanding of others, as to what it means. The Holy Spirit will bring the truth...from the Truth...and show us what it means. When my own mind, will and emotions get in the way of being sure of what God is trying to reveal to me....I need to confess my complete reliance on the Lord, and ask Him to reveal the truth to me.....He will find a way to do that.....because HE IS FAITHFUL.
