Called to Discipline, Part II, Pastor Chris Harper

On Sunday, October 26th, we started a series entitled, Called to Discipline.  Utilizing I Timothy 4:6-10.  Pastor Chris challenged us to let go of the thinking that says we must follow a set of rules or "perform" at a high level of behavior to gain God's acceptance or His nature.  Rather, the goal is godliness, to know Him, not to attain a "checked-off" to-do list of spiritual disciplines.  Let's allow God to "mess with us," to radicalize our ideas and perspectives so that they come in line with His purposes.

Each Sunday, the prayer room is open from 9:00 AM-9:25 AM for prayer.  Please join us at 9:25 AM in the sanctuary when we'll have a public call to worship.  After the service dismissal, we'll have an extended time of worship and ministry at the altars.

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen."     Ephesians 3:20-21.
