Father's Day was a terrific day of worship, with great music (way to go worship team, Quartet and Stan), testimonies, and a great word on "Legacy."  Thank you Sue and the Portico staff for hosting the refreshments, a great addition to the day. 

It's always exciting to see and hear your reports in how you've applied the principles of God's Word in your daily living- so far this summer has been especially filled with testimonies such as "Wow!  I never thought life could be this fun in such difficult times" and "I'm getting to know God- the Holy Spirit and how much He can do through me".  

As we continue our summer series "THRIVE," this Sunday's message titled "Getting to Re-Know the Holy Spirit",  further developed how the Holy Spirit works in the life of the believer.  Perhaps you or someone you know has questions about the gifts of the Spirit. The next two Sundays should help to bring biblical clarity to the subject.

Come ready for a powerful "Big" SWC gathering for worship this Sunday.  By the way, if you're interested, I'd love to have you join us for pre-service prayer and worship at 9:10, a "power start" to the morning.
