I hesitated to start this new series on Mom's Day, but the more I thought about it, WAR and PEACE was exactly what Mother's are uniquelly gifted for...solving wars and making peace...at least that was my personal experience at home with my big brother.  Can you relate?
 
More on the series in a second, but this Sunday also includes a heart-warming tribute from our SWC kids.  You're going to love the song, video presentation, and "made with love" gifts for all the ladies.  Better yet, the outpouring of God's Spirit has been promised to all that "come (to Him) and drink."   I hope you'll make this and every Sunday a priiority to gather for worship @ SWC. 
 
It's the real thing folks, we're in a battle FOR truth.
 
A recent study revealed 25% of born-again Christians beleive that "all people are eventually saved."  And that 40% "believe that Christians and Muslims worship the same God."  I'm not trying to go all "alarmist" on you, but I'm increasingly stirred up in my spirit, that we as followers of Christ have to be wide-awake to THE Truth, in that we can know the truth, and be able to share the truth as Christ would have it be shared to bring peace.
 
I'm taking a slightly different approach with this series in that I'll present this message for both non-believers and believers- as we unfold the truth claims, purge religious retoric of false and confusing statements, and most of all allow the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus- Truth.   A tall order, but with God's help...
 
I'd sure appreciate your prayers as we go through this series as well as your efforts in bringing guests. 
 
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful...let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone"  (Col 4:2-6)
